ABOUT ARIEL RECHTSHAID
American record producer and musician who first gained fame as the lead singer and guitarist of ska-punk band The Hippos. He had his breakthrough success as a producer with the release of " Hey There Delilah " by Plain White T's . As a producer, mixing engineer, and songwriter, he has worked with Major Lazer , Haim , Vampire Weekend , Madonna , and many others.
He formed The Hippos in 1995, while he was still in high school.
He recorded three albums with The Hippos. He won a Grammy Award for his work on Vampire Weekend's Father of the Bride album.
His parents are Israeli immigrants to the United States. He was in a relationship with Danielle Haim .
He produced Adele 's 2016 single "When We Were Young."
