ABOUT ARTHUR P. WARNER
Inventor of the electric brake and perhaps more notably the automobile speedometer. He was also the first man to fly in Wisconsin.
He became rich by inventing the speedometer and selling his company The Warner Instrument Co. in 1912.
He bought the first commercially built airplane, the first American private citizen to do so.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and died in Beloit, Wisconsin.
He was a pioneer in aviation but not as well remembered as Amelia Earhart .
