ABOUT ARUN GOVIL

Indian actor who rose to fame after starring in the 1979 film Sawan Ko Aane Do. From 1987 to 1988, he played the main character in the mythological series Ramayan. He voiced the same character for the 1992 anime film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama.

He studied engineering at Chaudhary Charan Singh University.

He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2021. He posts motivational and spiritual content on his siyaramkijai Instagram account, where he has gained upwards of 1.1 million followers.

He is married to actress Shrilekha Govil. Their two children are named Sonika and Amal.

Dara Singh was his co-star on Ramayan.
