ABOUT ASAMI IMAI
Famous for her contributions to anime series and video games such as Hell Girl and BlazBlue, this Japanese voice actress is also notable as a pop singer. After recording several video game theme songs, solo singles, and albums, she formed and fronted a music group called Artery Vein.
Early in her career as a voiceover artist, she was featured in episodes of Figure 17 and Pita 10. In 2009, she released her debut single "Day by Day Shining Blue Rain."
She voiced the character of Ayumi Shinozaki in several editions of the Corpse Party video game.
Born in Tokuyama, Yamaguchi, Japan, she later settled in Tokyo.
She and fellow Japanese entertainer Aki Toyosaki both rose to fame as voice actresses and pop singers.
