ABOUT ASHLEY CARIñO
Model and pageant contestant famously known for winning the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico in 2022. Although she ultimately did not earn the international title at the Miss Universe Competition in 2023, she did place amongst the top five contestants.
She studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Central Florida and is a strong proponent of STEM in education. She created her ashleyanncarino Instagram account in January 2019 and has since gained over 110,000 followers.
In her free time, she enjoys kayaking and spending time with her family. She aspires to win the international title of Miss Universe and become the first queen to walk on the moon.
She is the daughter of José Cariño and Olga Barreto and has four younger siblings. Her mother is also a former pageant competitor in Puerto Rico.
She placed amongst the top five contestants at the International Miss Universe Competition in 2023, alongside winner of the title, R'Bonney Gabriel .
