She moved to Nashville to study and pursue a career in music.
In 2020, she released her album Pauline. The album was named after her grandmother and her own middle name.
She was raised on a farm in Lawrence, Kansas. Her father died when he was 48 years old. The song "Pauline" begins with a recording of her mother's voice, talking about her own mother.
She also wrote songs for artists like Miranda Lambert , Lori McKenna and Charles Kelley .
