Japanese singer who first gained popularity in 2002 with her single "Usual Girl." She has become famous for her unique mixture of J-pop and the South African genre of Kwaito.
She was raised in Japan, the Philippines, and South Africa. She started singing in 1999.
She has served as Japan's Goodwill Ambassador to South Africa. In 2011 she signed with Universal Records Philippines. She is under Avex Records Japan.
Her father was Japanese and her mother was British-South African.
She collaborated with singer Christian Bautista on the song "In My Arms."
