Singer known as a pioneer of rock music in Turkey. He was a founder of the genre Anatolian Rock which emerged in the 1960s. His songs were popular enough for them to receive translations in languages spoken across the world.
He created his first band, Thu Buddies, in high school. His next band was called The Harmonies.
He became a TV host, traveling the world and visiting many countries.
He was married twice and had two children.
In the early 1960s, his music style was heavily influenced by rock singer Elvis Presley .
