ABOUT BEN BROWN

Right-handed pitcher that was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies during the 33rd round of the 2017 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Chicago Cubs via trade in August 2022. Prior to being drafted, he was named the 26th-best MLB prospect in the Phillies organization.

He first began his professional career playing for the GCL Phillies rookie affiliate team. After 10 games he was then promoted to the Williamsport Crosscutters.

He logged a career-high 149 strikeouts in 104 innings pitched during the 2022 minor league season. Despite being acquired mid-season, he was still named one of the Cubs' top 10 MLB prospects.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Long Island, New York. More specifically, he lived in the East Setauket area.

He was once involved in a trade that also included David Robertson .
