British rapper known by the mononym Ty. He gained fame for his albums Upwards and Closer as well as his collaborations and guest appearances with a wide variety of artists.
He grew up performing spoken word, plying his craft with Ghetto Grammar. His first album, Awkward, came out in 2001.
Upwards was nominated for a Mercury Award and he's also made appearances on MTV and Channel U.
He grew up in London, born to Nigerian immigrants.
He collaborated with Maseo , Dave , and Posdnuos of De La Soul on his third album.
