Hockey star and athlete who was drafted 31st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2024 NHL entry draft. He was drafted 14th overall by the Oshawa Generals in the 2022 OHL draft. Ben Danford thinks the game in a more advanced way than most. He knows how to defend in-zone and how to move the puck up the ice. And he always plays the opposition physically.
He got his first Maple Leafs jersey when he was four years old.
He played with the youth team Quinte Red Devils. He described himself as a two-way defenceman who "does whatever it takes to win", with an emphasis on shot-blocking. He stands six feet, one inch tall, and weighs approximately 190 pounds.
His family owned a construction company called Danford Construction.
His childhood idol was Phil Kessel .
