Benjamin Fine

ABOUT BENJAMIN FINE

American journalist and author who wrote for the New York Times from 1938 to 1958. He was the Education Editor for the paper from 1941 to 1958.

He attended Columbia University where he obtained both his Master's and Ph.D in journalism.

He won a Pulitzer Prize for journalism (public service) in 1944.

He was born in in Attleboro, Massachusetts and spent much of his youth in Rhode Island.

Linda Greenhouse was also a Pulitzer winning writer for the New York Times.
