ABOUT BENJAMIN LAW

Journalist best known for his book The Family Law, which is a family memoir published in the year 2010. After the book's success, he created a television program called The Family Law that was loosely adapted from the memoir. The show was released in the year 2016. He hosts the radio program and podcast Stop Everything! for ABC Radio National.

He was educated at Immanuel Lutheran College on the Sunshine Coast. He has a PhD in creative writing and cultural studies from the Queensland University of Technology.

The TV series The Family Law won the 2016 Screen Producers Awards for Best Comedy. It was also nominated for two AACTA Awards. In the year 2012, he published the book Gaysia: Adventures in the Queer East, which is a journalistic exploration of LGBT life in Asia.

He is in a relationship with Scott Spark.

In June of 2023, he posted a photo on his mrbenjaminlaw Instagram account. It featured himself alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Mike White .
