ABOUT BERTIE HIGGINS
Florida singer best remembered for his hit 1982 album "Just Another Day in Paradise". VH1 named his most famous song, "Key Largo", as one of the Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80's.
His first band, formed as a teenager, was called The Romans.
He lived a troubled life after the success of "Key Largo", spending several months in prison for a DUI in 1995.
His son is drum and bass DJ Damian Higgins, a.k.a. Dieselboy.
His hit "Key Largo" is a reference to the beloved film classic "Casablanca", starring the late Humphrey Bogart .
