ABOUT BETSY KING
Six time major championship winner, three time LPGA Tour Money Winner, and three time LPGA Tour Player of the Year who finished with 39 total victories in her career that spanned from 1977 until 2005.
She secured her first victory on tour 7 years after turning professional at the Women's Kemper Open. She would win two more times that same season.
She became a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1995.
She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and attended Furham University in South Carolina with whom she won a national championship.
She beat out Patty Sheehan by only a single stroke to capture the 1990 U.S. Women's Open.
