Growing up, he lived in Maryland, Oklahoma, Virginia and Los Angeles, California.
He met DJ Tay James, the tour DJ for Justin Bieber , at Hampton University. James helped promote Blake's music which led him to making connections with Mark Jackson and Ya Money.
He was born in Louisiana and was raised in a military family.
His career beginnings matriculated similarly to Asher Roth and J. Cole , making a name for himself in the collegiate ranks.
