Football coach who was the head coach of Notre Dame from 1997-2001 and became the head coach of New Mexico's football team in 2012.

He attended Moon Area High School in Pennsylvania.

He was Notre Dame's defensive coordinator before he was promoted to head coach.

His son Clay played football at Arizona State University.

He worked for head coach Lou Holtz at Notre Dame.
