Quarterback who played in the NFL from 1969-1978, most notably for the Chicago Bears.

He was an All-American at the University of Kansas, before being selected 41st overall in the 1969 NFL draft.

In 1972 he ran for 968 yards, setting a quarterback rushing record that stood for 34 years.

During his career he married Playboy Bunny Carol O'Neal.

With the Bears he played alongside Walter Payton .
