All-Star MLB second baseman and Gold Glove Award winner during a 17-year career with the Baltimore Orioles and Anaheim Angels.

He starred as a spectacular second baseman in high school before being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles.

He led the American League with twenty-two home runs in 1981, the first time a second baseman led the league in home runs in eighty years.

He married Zetta Grich in 1992 and the couple had one daughter together, Brianna.

He took over at second base for the Baltimore Orioles when they traded away All-Star Davey Johnson .
