ABOUT BOBBY ROSS

Football coach achieved championship success in the NCAA and NFL.

Unlike many other NFL coaches, he never spent any time in the NFL as a player.

He led the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to consecutive winning seasons, culminating in a stunning upset of No. 1-ranked Virginia.

He had five children with his wife Alice, and 17 grandchildren.

He and the football great Sam Huff are both in the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
