4-time MLB All-Star who helped the Baltimore Orioles win two World Series titles.

He was known as a home run hitter before making his major league debut, leading the International League in home runs in 1961.

He was selected to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated for a special baseball edition in 1971.

He married Jan Powell in 1965.

He manned first base for the Baltimore Orioles for many years while his teammate Brooks Robinson played third base.
