ABOUT BOONAA MOHAMMED
Critically acclaimed spoken word artist who has earned widespread fame performing his original works on his self-titled YouTube channel. He has also released several poetry albums including When the World Ends, Beautiful Patience, and Memories of a Slave.
After becoming valedictorian of Oakwood Collegiate Institute, he completed a degree in radio in television at Ryerson University in 2011.
He founded the Islamic media production company Safina Media.
His parents are Ethiopian immigrants of Oromo descent. They moved to Canada as political refugees following the Oromo Liberation Movement.
