ABOUT BRANKA JURCA
Award-winning Slovene author of Okoli in Okoli and other literary works for children and young adults. Her works of adult prose include The Glass Castle and Then Life Won.
She participated in the Slovene Liberation Front prior to being arrested and sent to two concentration camps.
She wrote thirty-five stories and novels for children.
She was married to fellow playwright and author Ivan Potrc. The two were parents to the architect Marjetica Potrc.
She and Rachel Russell both became known for their works of children's literature.
