He was drafted out of Florence High School in Florence, Alabama. During his senior year, he won a gold medal at the 2016 U-18 Baseball World Cup in Osaka, Japan as a member of Team USA.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on September 13, 2020. He pitched five innings and recorded six strikeouts.
He is a native of the Foley, Alabama area.
He pitched against Andrew McCutchen and Bryce Harper during his MLB debut.
