Professional southpaw that was drafted by the Miami Marlins during the first round of the 2016 Major League Draft. In 2018, he was named one of the Marlins top 5 best MLB prospects. He posts baseball and family content on his popular braxgarrett Instagram account.

He was drafted out of Florence High School in Florence, Alabama. During his senior year, he won a gold medal at the 2016 U-18 Baseball World Cup in Osaka, Japan as a member of Team USA.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on September 13, 2020. He pitched five innings and recorded six strikeouts.

He is a native of the Foley, Alabama area.

He pitched against Andrew McCutchen and Bryce Harper during his MLB debut.
