ABOUT BRENDAN CROKER

English musician who recorded albums under his own name and with the occasional backing band The Five O'Clock Shadows. He was also a member of The Notting Hillbillies. During the late 1980s, he was an auxiliary member of The Mekons, and a full-time member of Sally Timms and the Drifting Cowgirls.

He studied sculpture at art school before turning to music. In the late 1970s, he teamed up with guitarist Steve Phillips to form a blues duo called Nev & Norris. The duo quickly became a popular Leeds attraction.

He recorded several albums as a solo artist including Country Blues Guitar and The Great Indoors. In 1990, he (along with The Notting Hillbillies) released the band's only studio album titled, "Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time."

He had a long-time partner named Ali Allen.

Throughout his career, he collaborated with renowned artists such as Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler .
