ABOUT BRETT BATY

Professional third baseman that was drafted by the New York Mets during the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. He was drafted out of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. During his senior season, he was named the Gatorade Texas Baseball Player of the Year.

He first began his professional career playing for the GCL Mets. He only pitched in five games before being promoted.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Atlanta Braves on August 17, 2022. He finished the game hitting 1 for 4. He has accumulated over 80,000 followers on Instagram as a result of his baseball fame.

He is a native of the Round Rock, Texas area.

He played alongside Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte during his MLB debut.
