Professional utility player that was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in 2010. He was acquired off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays on July 2, 2020.

He began his professional career playing for St. Louis' rookie affiliate team the Venezuelan Summer League Cardinals.

He made his major league debut playing against the San Diego Padres on September 5, 2017 as a member of the Cardinals.

He is a native of Montalbán, Venezuela.

He was included in a trade package by the Los Angeles Dodgers to acquire Manny Machado on July 18, 2018.
