Bruce Firestone

ABOUT BRUCE FIRESTONE

Real estate developer who gained fame as the founder of the modern day Ottawa Senators NHL club. He formerly served as part owner of the Ottawa Rough Riders CFL football club.

He graduated from McGill University with his bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He later earned his master's and PhD degrees.

He was inducted into the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. He has worked at the University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management.

He has five kids with his wife Dawn.

He and Phil Esposito both won new NHL franchises in 1990, and were pictured together celebrating.
