ABOUT BRUCE HARDY
Tight end who played for the Miami Dolphins from 1978 to 1989, accumulating 256 catches and 25 touchdowns; coached the Florida Bobcats in the Arena Football League and also served as an assistant coach for Florida International University's football team.
He was a star at Arizona State, before being selected in the 9th round of the 1978 NFL Draft.
In 1974, as a high school athlete, he made the cover of Sports Illustrated.
He had four sons with his wife Joanie Hardy.
He spent much of his career catching passes from Dan Marino .
