ABOUT BULENT ERSOY
Turkish transgender vocalist who performed such Ottoman classical songs as "Geceler" and "Bir Tanriyi Bir de Beni Sakın Unutma." She released nearly twenty-five albums between 1976 and 2011.
She started her career as a male vocalist and actor before having a sex reassignment procedure performed in 1981.
She made several Turkish films in Germany.
She was raised in Istanbul, Turkey.
She and Murat Dalkilic both became well-known Turkish singers.
