ABOUT CJ STEVENS
American poet, author, and translator whose best-known literary works include The Uncertain Cartographer, The Cornish Nightmare, and The Supernatural Side of Maine. He published his debut poetic work, Climbs of Uncertainty, in 1961.
He published his first poem in a Maine newspaper when he was only thirteen years old.
His poetry and other writings form a special collection at the U.S. Library of Congress.
He married S.R. Taschlicky Stevens, a Dutchwoman, in 1954.
He is a literary contemporary of fellow American poet Maya Angelou .
