ABOUT CADE HORTON

Major league starting pitcher that was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs as a first rounder in 2022. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at the University of Oklahoma . Following his first season at Oklahoma, he earned Freshman All-American honors.

While at Norman High School, he played football and baseball. As a senior, he was named Oklahoma's Baseball Gatorade Player of the Year.

He made his official major league debut while pitching against the New York Mets on May 10, 2025. He pitched four innings with five strikeouts in a 6-5 Cubs victory.

He grew up living with his family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He is a notable Norman High School alum just like Zac Taylor .
