ABOUT CADE SMITH

Right-handed relief pitcher that was first drafted by the Minnesota Twins as a 16th round draft pick in 2017. A few years later, he was signed by the Cleveland Guardians . In 2023, he was selected to play for the Canadian men's national team during the World Baseball Classic.

Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at the University of Hawaii . Shortly after being drafted, he officially began his professional baseball career with the Lynchburg Hillcats.

As a young boy growing up, his favorite baseball team was the Toronto Blue Jays . While coming up, he was also a huge NBA basketball fan.

He lives along with his wife, Elizabeth.

He played alongside Emmanuel Clase as a member of the Guardians during the 2025 regular season.
