ABOUT CALVIN RICHARDSON

Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and R&B recording artist who released the album I Am Calvin featuring the single "We Gon' Love Tonight" in 2014, his first album in 4 years.

He was part of an R&B group called Undacova before launching his solo career in 1999 when he released his neo-soul debut album Country Boy.

He co-wrote the Charlie Wilson Grammy nominated song "There Goes My Baby" with Kenneth Edmonds and Daryl Simmons and has collaborated with other artists such as Angie Stone , Raphael Saadiq , Chico DeBarge , Claudette Ortiz , and K-Ci & JoJo.

Born and raised in Monroe North Carolina, he had a very musical upbringing, singing in his mother's local gospel group as a young boy.

Some of his biggest influences as a musician include Sam Cooke , Bobby Womack , Donny Hathaway , and Marvin Gaye .
