Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels during the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft. He was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies in July 2021.

He began his professional career playing for the Angels' rookie affiliate team the AZL Angels.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Houston Astros on June 3, 2014 as a member of the Angels.

He is a native of Senoia, Georgia. His father, Steve, is a former major league pitcher, and won the Cy Young award in 1987.

He recorded his first career strikeout facing Jonathan Villar .
