ABOUT CASTELLO LUKEBA

Soccer star who signed a five-year contract with the German-based club RB Leipzig in August of 2023. He was a member of France's national under-21 football team. He was nominated for the 2021/22 Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.

In the year 2011, he joined Olympique Lyonnais's Academy.

He played in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 UEFA Youth League. In August of 2021, he made his professional debut for Olympique Lyonnais. He played 58 games in the top division. He decided to represent France at the international level and received his first call up in France U-21 in November of 2021, where he joined his club mates Maxence Caqueret, Rayan Cherki, and Malo Gusto.

He has Angolan heritage.

He and Naby Keita both played for the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
