ABOUT CHAD WALLACH

Professional catcher that was drafted by the Miami Marlins during the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Los Angeles Angels via waivers in August 2021. He has also played in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds organizations.

Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Cal State Fullerton . He began his professional career playing for the Batavia Muckdogs.

He made his major league debut playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 27, 2017, as a member of the Reds. He finished the game 0 for 4.

His father, Tim, played in the majors for 17 seasons. He is the youngest of three brothers.

He played alongside Tyler Mahle during his major league debut.
