ABOUT CHARLES BRICKLEY
All-American quarterback at Harvard University who led their football team to a national championship in 1912 after a perfect 9-0 season.
He competed in the triple jump event at the 1912 Summer Olympics, and played at an exhibition baseball event.
He was highly sought after as a college football coach, eventually joining Johns Hopkins, and then going on to Boston College and Fordham.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ryan Fitzpatrick , born almost a century later, continued Harvard's tradition of great quarterbacking.
