ABOUT CHARLES CECIL

Entrepreneur and video game programmer who was one of the founders of Revolution Software. His notable video game credits include Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky.

After graduating from Manchester University with a degree in mechanical engineering, he became the director of Artic Computing.

His Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut game was nominated for a 2010 British Academy Video Games Award.

He had two children, David and Ciara, with fellow video game developer Noirin Carmody.

He and Sid Meier both had successful careers as video game designers.
