ABOUT CHARLES WOOD
American stage actor who performed in numerous Broadway musical productions between 1945 and 1953. His credits include roles in "Kiss Me, Kate" and "Wish You Were Here."
He was born in Seattle, Washington to Cyril Percival Wood and Edith Florence Chamberlain. He graduated from Sequoia Union High School in Redwood City, California.
He made his Broadway debut in a 1945 production of "Up in Central Park."
With his wife, Adelaide Marchena, he had three daughters and two sons.
He co-starred with Alfred Drake in the original Broadway production of "Kiss Me, Kate."
