ABOUT CHARLIE IRWIN

Third baseman who played for the Chicago Colts, Cincinnati Reds, and Brooklyn Superbas from 1893 to 1902.

He played his first game on September 3, 1893.

For his career he hit .267 with 488 RBIs and 180 stolen bases.

He grew up near Chicago, which is where he returned after his career; he lived there until he was hit by a bus and killed in 1925.

In his final MLB season he played for a Brooklyn team led by Willie Keeler .
