ABOUT CHARLOTTE MACLEOD
A Canadian-American mystery writer, she is particularly known for her Peter Shandy books, which focus on a New England college professor. Her stand-alone novel titles include Maid of Honor (1984) and The Fat Lady's Ghost (1968).
After attending the Art Institute of Boston, she worked as a copywriter for the Stop and Shop grocery store.
She often wore a hat and white gloves.
She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and she became a United States citizen in 1951.
She and Mary Downing Hahn both received Edgar Awards.
