ABOUT CHEEMING BOEY
This Singapore-born Malaysian artist is perhaps most famous for his foam cup illustrations. His other works include a memoir-based graphic novel called When I Was a Kid and a web-based comic titled I Am Boey.
He studied both advertising and computer animation at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
During his time as an employee of Blizzard Entertainment, he designed the popular Diablo II and III role playing video games.
He was raised on a Malaysian bird farm.
He and web video star Hosea Frank both spoke at the popular TED conferences.
