ABOUT CHERNO SAMBA
Retired English-Gambian forward who burst onto the scene as a prodigious youth player, but was unable to meet the enormous expectation. After suffering an injury, he retired at the age of 29.
He played youth soccer with Millwall's academy side, once scoring 132 goals in 32 games.
He played for England's youth teams at the U16-U20 levels, but played for Gambia's senior international team. He was well-known among players of the game Championship Manager due to his enormous in-game potential.
Born in Gambia, he moved to England when he was young. His father also played for Gambia's national team.
He and Reuben Reid played together while on Plymouth Argyle.
