Grammy Award-winning opera singer who played the role of Elisabeth in the opera Tannhauser.

She briefly studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

She has performed interpretations of Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner .

Her mother and stepfather supported her musical abilities when she was young.

She was offered scholarships to the Berkshire Music Center by Leonard Bernstein .
