ABOUT CHET ZAR
Artist, online content creator, social media personality, and Instagram star who is known for make-up effects and digital animation. He designed and created prosthetic effects for films like Planet of the Apes , The Haunted Mansion , Hellboy , and X-Men: The Last Stand .
As a child, he sculpted, drew and painted. In high school, he began his work in the makeup effects industry.
He launched a podcast about the Dark Arts. Director Mike Correll created a 2015 documentary about him titled Chet Zar: I Like to Paint Monsters. He has amassed more than 120,000 followers on his chetzar Instagram account.
His stepfather is fantasy artist James Zar.
He was a makeup special effects artist on the film Hocus Pocus which starred Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy , and Bette Midler .
