Most recognized as one of the authors of the screenplay for the animated version of The Lord of the Rings.

He started out as an educator, teaching classes at American Jewish University in LA.

He also worked as a screenwriter on the show The Hardy Boys.

He was born-and-raised in Los Angeles.

Like Napoleon Dynamite actor John Heder , he also studied at Brigham Young University.
