Chris Heimerdinger
ABOUT CHRIS HEIMERDINGER
American writer of Mormon-themed young adult literature. He is perhaps best known for his Tennis Shoes Adventure Series.
He began writing at the age of seven. In his teens, he also experimented with film-making, eventually winning a scholarship to study cinema at Brigham Young University.
He wrote and produced a Christian-themed action film entitled Passage to Zarahemla.
He was born in Bloomington, Indiana to a father who taught in the theater department of Indiana University. At the age of eighteen, he became a Mormon convert.
He and fellow Mormon author Shannon Bryner Hale both had successful careers as children's book writers.
