Chris Rumph II

ABOUT CHRIS RUMPH II

Professional outside linebacker that was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers as a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Previously, he played college football at Duke University . As a senior, he was named to the second team All-ACC.

He was considered a three-star prospect while at Buchholz High School. In 2016, he and his teammates won Florida's 7A District 3 Championship. Coming out of high school, he had offers from schools like Vanderbilt University , and the University of Central Florida .

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Washington Commanders during week-one of the 2021 regular season. He recorded eight tackles in sixteen games played during his rookie season.

Growing up, he lived with his parents in the Gainesville, Florida area. His father, Chris Sr, played college football at the University of South Carolina . His father also has coached in the NFL, most recently for the Minnesota Vikings .

He is a former Duke collegiate athlete just like Shane Battier and Carlos Boozer .
