He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2007 June Amateur MLB Draft.

He became the frontrunner of The Bachelorette after Brooks Forester decided to leave the show.

His father is a chiropractor and he famously worked on Desiree during the couple's hometown visit. Chris and Desiree welcomed a son named Asher Wrigley Siegfried in October 2016.

He dated Desiree Hartsock after Sean Lowe broke up with her.
